Life is like a camera
Focus on what is important
Capture the good times
Develop the negatives
and if things don't work out.....
Just take another shot.

January 28 was Rich's 60th birthday! When one gets to be that age, gifts are creative. I just got home from a BMX race in Phoenix around 2PM, went home and took Charlie and Chase to the dog park and then off to get him his birthday gift. He just laughed when he walked in the door and saw 60 different beers!

On our last day in Cabo San Lucas, I spent a lot of time taking photos of the pelicans. I really enjoy watching these birds and always have! I think back to all the years we traveled to Corpus Christi where we watched the white pelicans at one of our favorite places, Snoopy's

We arrived home this morning at 5AM after driving home from Minneapolis. So, I don't have much to show for today. Just unpacking, laundry, and picking up Chase and Charlie. Here is one scrapbook page I got done yesterday. It's of Seal Rock just around the corner from the arch in Cabo.
We're headed home later today from Cabo. Yesterday, we got a water taxi and went over to the arch and surrounding beaches. The Sea of Cortez side of the beach is called Lover's Beach and the Pacific side is called Divorce Beach. Very funny, huh? I also got plenty of photos of seals and pelicans while on the little trip. Raphael made sure to come back and get us after 2 hours. (I was worried about that but figured he would come back so he could get his tip!) Anyway, the internet here was up and down during the day so I don't have any photos ready to post. I'll post more when we get home, maybe tomorrow.
The internet has been down for awhile so I'm gonna show you some of my scrapbook pages that I made last night.

Here's some beautiful flowers behind the Hotel California in Todas Santos, which is north of Cabo San Lucas on Highway 19.
We went 4 wheelin' today. Here Rich catching some air on a steep slope. We were north of Cabo again, near the Pacific Ocean. We were gone for about 4 hours and got almost 2 hours of free time wheelin' around on the beach and the rocky hills nearby. We saw whales and lots of cactus.

Here I am, 4 wheelin' fast, LOL.

They change the carved fruit almost everyday. There was a new bunch today, this monkey was very creative.
More decorative fruit, this one a great looking snake.

And a beautiful fish straight from the ocean.

I got tired of taking pictures of Rich everytime he changed clothes. So I just counted so I could harass him anyway. Here's his sock drawer full of socks enough for a month! I was lucky to get a drawer to put my stuff in.

Here's our closet where there were NO hangers for me, not that I needed any. I counted 26 shirts and 19 slacks, pants and/or shorts. He also had 5 pairs of shoes and/or sandals. I guess he's prepared!

These 3 are the crew of the Cabo Blue. We had the boat to ourselves! They kept us happy with lots of drinks and a homemade lunch, yummy!

This is Abraham taking down the sail.

Here's the crew of the trimaran boat putting down the anchor so we can go snorkeling.

And another of the arch, BEAUTIFUL!

This is the famous arch of Cabo San Lucas. And just for Shelby, ROCKS & SAND!

This gull was just waking up also.

Today started with sunrise of course!

Today, I thought I'd thrill you with somebeautiful scrapbook pages. This one shows "Chicas" our tour guide from yesterday's safari tour into the arid forest surrounding Cabo. Here, he is showing us how to make corn tortillas. He was a fun and exciting historian and guide.
These cattle were in the middle of the road and really didn't want to move for our vehicle. Aren't they beautiful? I love taking pictures of animals!

This flower was high atop a saguaro cactus. Good thing I have that wonderful telephoto lens! It's beautiful, don't you think? Gotta go now, we're off on a little boat trip.

They have plenty of places to eat here since it's "all inclusive" I really liked the decorative fruit. Here's one watermelon carved nicely.

Here's another lovely watermelon. I'll try to get more variety tomorrow.

After breakfast, we decided on some activities for the week. We will go on a jeep tour tomorrow and then an ATV tour the next day. We kinda goofed off until 3PM. Then we headed for towntown Cabos. This picture is of the marina near downtown.

I enjoyed watching this young pelican as he found a nice meal of fish for the afternoon. In this photo, you can see a large fish in his pouch.

Amazingly, he tries to adjust and you can see the fish in his now partially open bill.

And....................gulp - down it goes.

We found this very interesting little bar - in fact - it claims to be the World's Smallest Bar.

And, of course, Rich had to have a beer here.

And the last photo for this post is a view of the open patio area in the hotel.

Second outfit change of the day, around 9AM.

Beautifull pool!

Third change at about 1130AM, ready for the pool.

Here's the first outfit for the day at approximately 8AM.

Here's Rich relaxing after we finally get to the room, with a Corona from the mini-fridge.

Since we left our pups at home, this one was waiting for us in our room! Isn't he cute? I'm going to collect them, we'll see if we get one each day.

Here's the building that our room is in - I'll get more detail later!

Here we are at the airport enjoying a beer (for Rich) and a margarita (for me).

Here's a quick look at our room, beautiful it is!
