Life is like a camera
Focus on what is important
Capture the good times
Develop the negatives
and if things don't work out.....
Just take another shot.

Sierra racing at St Mary's Cyclocross race, nice and warm! She got 10th place.
I found this at TJ Maxx, it looks very nice in the living room.
Found this little guy at the hospital today, I think he looks like a penguin!
I think this is a crocus, they are blooming all over the front yard. They must be confused by the rain that we finally got after the summer drought.
They are finally repaving Central Avenue after working for weeks on new sidewalks. Rumor is that the street will become 2-way by the end of October. I'd rather it stay one way.....
While at Mother's, she asked if I wanted this coat. I said no but I knew the perfect person that would love it! I drove home through Des Moines and went to see Becky at work. She was thrilled to say the least and I have no doubt that this coat will be well used after so many years!
What a great visit we had, it was almost like we had never been apart. The last time I saw Margo was in 1998. That is too long and we are both sad that we let life get in the way of our friendship but vow to not let time pass by before we see each other again!
To continue my reunion weekend, Margo came today from Goddard. She was asking me if I had this photo from college. I hadn't found it at home but Mother had it stashed away in a box!
It is a reunion weekend for me! I drove to visit Mother and Deb came today from Salina. We haven't spent any time together for over 10 years! We had a great visit and are planning on meeting in Corpus Christi in March, just as we used to years ago when our children were young. I'm really looking forward to it!
Here's my birthday balloon from my study mates at work: Andria, Jessica, and Andrea.
The other part of my birthday present.....it is a silly story!
A birthday gift for me from Kristin and Sierra! They also took me to the Brew Pub for dinner, just us girls!
I'm going to see Margo in a few days so was looking for some old college photos. I took a quick pic of this one to send to her, must have been the year after she graduated.
I crashed on my road bike on the way home from work. It was on a wet, freshly paved piece of asphalt. These bruises showed up although I didn't get hurt too bad.
I love watching Collegiate National Championships even though no one in the family is still in college! I'm glad they were in Indianapolis again this year.
I've always been a bicyclist but now that I ride in the city to and from work, this fits.....
Sagan and Cadel gave one Kristin and Sierra each one of these mugs!
Here's the great group of ladies that I raced with this weekend. Lisa, Mary, Kittie, Carrie, Jackie, and Maggie. I hope to see them again soon!
The second day of Bluegrass Nationals brought me another 1st place with my precious friend Maggie right behind me! I am thankful for all the wonderful friends I saw this weekend who offered me encouragement and kind words for the future. I hope everyone has a great day of racing tomorrow, I'll be at home studying!
